Project description:
Your job is to research the life of an explorer. This is a partner activity and you will be expected to research both independently and together. You are expected to research biographical information including major events in the explorer’s life, voyages, and the impact of his or her discoveries. Using a note-taking format, you need to research the following aspects of your explorer’s life:

childhood, country & family
motivation and experiences to explore
major voyages
discoveries
contact with indigenous peoples
consequences & impact of voyages
any other interesting facts

You are expected to use at least 2 sources & keep a bibliography

Goals: Your information will be shared in a short presentation – in an interview format. One partner should be the explorer. You need to write a script which should answer (at least) the points listed above. Create a setting and circumstance for your interview. Your goal is to make your presentation informative, realistic, natural, and interesting. You and your partner will be making your presentation in front of an audience of your peers, teachers, and parents.
